A DIY short board game based on our local train stations. Fun for all ages!

Intellectual - Counting, learning the names of the different places and train stations in Singapore (National Education)

Materials

Step 1
Before game, Parent need to determine the places and errands and write them on the cardstock. (Example: Go to ‘Little India’ and buy spices for mummy. Reward for being mummy’s cheerful helper: $0.50, Go to ‘Chinatown’ and buy some Chinese lanterns for grandpa. Reward for being helpful:
$1.00) Prepare about 10-15 of these errand cards and write them down. Try to have a mixture of places that are familiar and unfamiliar to your child. Be creative but as accurate and factual!

Step 3
The youngest goes first. Pick an errand card. Take turns to throw the dice and move station to station according to the number rolled. First person to complete 3 errands or collect $3.00 wins! It is time to play! The whole family is welcome! 2-5 players.

Set up: Lay out the train map, everyone is to start at the MRT station nearest to your home, HarbourFront. Coins are to be placed at a central location accessible within arm reach to players.
