Stickers
Yarn/string of different colours
One-hole puncher
Leaves of various sizes and colours

Step 1:
Take your child out on a nature walk around the neighbourhood or the park. Collect fallen leaves of various sizes and colours in a plastic bag. At home, place these leaves on the table. Arrange them according to their sizes OR shades of colours (from light to dark).
Step 2:
Have your child punch holes around the edges of the larger leaves (about the size of an adult’s palm).
Step 3:
Invite your child to weave a piece of yarn through the holes, along the edges of the leaves. You may tape the end of the yarn for easy threading. Encourage creativity by allowing him/her to weave along or across the face of the leaves.
Step 4:
Decorate the leaves with stickers or markers.
