Recycle an old t-shirt into something useful!
Skill Level: Advanced Suitable For: 5 - 6 years old Estimated Time: 15 - 30 mins Environment: Indoors
Materials:
Old t-shirt
Scissors
Ruler
Step 1:
Lay t-shirt flat on the ground/table and cut away the sleeves and collar area.
Step 2:
Cut off the seam at the bottom of the shirt. You may keep these to make a longer handle for the bag.
Step 3:
Make vertical cuts along the bottom of the shirt, about 7” length long and 1” width apart.”
Step 4:
The 2 strips at both side of the shirt need to be cut apart so that they form strips to be tied together.
Step 5:
Gently pull each strip to stretch out the cotton.
Step 6:
Tie the corresponding strips together using 2 basic knots so that they do not come apart. This forms the base of the bag and you are ready to use it.
