Boats are used for work and play. They transport us from one place to another and move at different speeds.

Materials:
Used plastic lid (like the lid from a margarine tub)
Drinking straw
Scissors
Coloured paper
Washi tapes
A big tub of water
Step 1:
Cut a triangle from a piece of construction paper (This will be your sail). You can decorate the sail with washi tapes or other materials.
Step 2:
Cut the straw.
Step 3:
Prepare 4 strips of washi tape and cut 2 of them into thinner strips.
Step 4:
Cut the end of the straw and secure it with the thinner strips.
Step 5:
Secure the sail with the remaining 2 washi tape strips and you are ready for a sailboat race in the tub!
