Letter Labels

Easy alphabet lesson plan by having a tour in your home.

Skill Level: Intermediate Suitable For: 4 - 5 years old Estimated Time: < 15 mins Environment: Indoors

Materials:

• Permanent markers

• Index cards

Step 1:

Help your child write the letters of the alphabet (in upper and/or lowercase) on the index cards, putting one letter on each card.

Step 2:

Mix up the cards then pick a room in your home to start with — the living room, kitchen, or bedroom work well. Walk around the room, and identify as many objects starting with the same letter in the selected area. For example, ‘Couch’ begins with the letter C. ‘Table’ begins with the letter T.”
