Effects on Global Warming

This activity will show children the effects of global warming to the environment.

Skill Level: Advanced

Suitable For: 5 - 6 years old

Estimated Time: > 30 mins

Environment: Indoors

Materials:

• Tray

• Water

• Ice block

• Bowl

• Hair dryer

• Toy plants and animals

Step 1:

Turn over the bowl (LAND) and place it in the tray.

Step 2:

Place the block of ice (ARCTIC) beside the bowl.

Step 3:

Position animals on top of the overturned bowl and block of ice.

Step 4:

Pour the water (SEA) into the tray.

Step 5:

Use the hairdryer (SUN) to melt the block of ice.

Step 6:

Observe what happens to the LAND, SEA and ARCTIC.
