The ECDA Early Childhood Conference and Exhibition was held on 13 - 14 September 2019, at Suntec Singapore Convention Exhibition Centre. True to the theme, “Beyond the Classroom: Taking Learning Outdoors”, the exhibition hall was converted into a giant playground for children to enjoy themselves. We also had the honour to have President Halimah Yacob and Minister Desmond Lee joining us at the event.
Educators, teachers and children who dropped by our booth were engaged in activities by Preschool Market and our community partners like Little Footprints Preschool, Ground-up Initiative, and Trick Eye Museum:
(i) Preschool Market is honoured to be a partner to help achieve the Singapore Book of Records for 'Most Number of People Playing Cardboard Shakers'. At our booth, participants can unleash their creativity to make and decorate a cardboard shaker for themselves using recyclables.
(ii) As part of Kindred Garden Start Small Dream Big project, we have also teamed up with Little Footprints Preschool to develop a sustainability toolkit for preschools. They have showcased their lovely upcycled projects and involved the young participants in making paper-copters.
(iii) In addition, sharing the space with us was Ground-Up Initiative team. They engaged the crowd with their wood-making activity, and also constructing structures with sticks and rubber bands.
Last but not least,
To all preschool educators, we hope you have received the waterproof phone pouch and Special Treats Card. Don't forget to download Special Treats app in your app store to enjoy the treats you deserve!
Thank you everyone who dropped by our booth during the conference! We will see you again next year!
