Float an Egg

Tap water and salt water have different properties. By simply using an egg and observing its behaviour, we can learn something about this humble liquid.

Materials:

• Glass of water

• Egg

• Salt

• Spoon

Step 1:

Fill the glass with clean water and put an egg in it. Observe how the egg behaves.

Step 2:

Remove the egg and add salt into the water. With a spoon, stir until it dissolves.

Step 3:

Place the egg back in the water. Observe if there are any changes.
