Recycle an old t-shirt into something useful!

Step 1

Gather the materials.

Step 2

Lay t-shirt flat on the ground/table and cut away the sleeves and collar area.

Step 3

Cut off the seam at the bottom of the shirt. You may keep these to make a longer handle for the bag.

Step 4

Make vertical cuts along the bottom of the shirt, about 7” length long and 1” width apart.”

Step 5

The 2 strips at both side of the shirt need to be cut apart at the seam such that they form strips to be tied together.

Step 6

Gently pull each strip to stretch out the cotton.

Step 7

Tie each front and back corresponding strips together using 2 basic knots such that they do not come apart. This forms the base of the bag. And you are ready to use it.
