Recycle an old t-shirt into something useful!

Materials

Step 1
Lay t-shirt flat on the ground/table and cut away the sleeves and collar area.

Step 3
Make vertical cuts along the bottom of the shirt, about 7” length long and 1” width apart.”

Step 5
Gently pull each strip to stretch out the cotton.

Old t-shirt
Scissors
Ruler
Step 2
Cut off the seam at the bottom of the shirt. You may keep these to make a longer handle for the bag.

Step 4
The 2 strips at both side of the shirt need to be cut apart at the seam such that they form strips to be tied together.

Step 6
Tie each front and back corresponding strips together using 2 basic knots such that they do not come apart. This forms the base of the bag. And you are ready to use it.
