My Pet House

Create a house for a soft-toy pet. Teach your child that taking care of a pet is a huge responsibility.

Materials

Step 1
Let your child select a soft-toy that he/she wants to keep as a pet.

Step 3
Cut the cardboard box and fold half.

Step 5
Wrap the cardboard box based on colours that your child select. Or you can choose to paint it.

Step 7
Use the double-sided tape to secure the roof.

Tissue box
Cardboard box
A soft-toy animal
Drawing paper
Paper cup

Coloured paper
Step 2
To create the roof, draw a “x” on the box. And cut along the lines.

Step 4
Assist your child to cut a hole on one side of the cardboard box.

Step 6
Tear the coloured paper into pieces and decorate the roof.

Step 8
Create food tray with the paper cup. Child to draw on coloured paper and cut out the food that your child wants to put into the food tray.

Step 9
Place the soft-toy animal into the box together with its food tray. Role play with your child on how he/she can take care of his/her “pet”.
