This activity will show children the effects of global warming to the environment.

  • Social - Being able to relate to others, importance of saving the earth through observing and practicing energy saving deeds such as not wasting water, switch off appliance when not in need.

Materials

Step 1

Turn over the bowl (LAND) and place it in the tray.

Step 3

Position animals on top of the overturned bowl and block of ice.

Step 5

Use the hairdryer (SUN) to melt the block of ice.

  • Tray

  • Water

  • Ice block

  • Bowl

  • Hair dryer

  • Toy plants and animals

Step 2

Place the block of ice (ARCTIC) beside the bowl.

Step 4

Pour the water (SEA) into the tray.

Step 6

Observe what happens to the LAND, SEA and ARCTIC.
