Buddy's Height

Give children the chance to have fun while discovering their heights in a creative manner.

Materials:

• Discardable IKEA tape measure (white coloured measuring paper readily available free in their stores)

• Colouring materials

• Laminating pouch & machine (optional)

• Double sided tape
  

Step 1:

Using the discardable IKEA measuring tape, ask the children to decorate it using various colouring materials.

Step 2:

Paste the tape on the wall by using double sided tape.

Step 3:

Ask the children to take their height measurements. Jot down the results labeled with the unit of measurement used (inches or centimetres). Discuss the findings in a group: the importance of sustainability efforts (recycling, reuse, reduce), units of measurements used and results of the height taken by each pair (each pair to present the results in the group).
