Travel the neighbourhood on foot.

Step 1

Gather the materials.

Step 2

Plan a trip around the neighbourhood. Decide with your child all the places you will visit, such as the park and the supermarket, and list them on a piece of paper.

Step 3

As you go on the trip, have your child count the number of steps with a clear starting point and end point in mind.

Step 4

Record the number of steps and the turns you take on a piece of paper.
