#Scienceofplay12

Create a house for a soft-toy pet. Teach your child that taking care of a pet is a huge responsibility.

Step 1

Gather the materials.

Step 2

Let your child select a soft-toy that he/she wants to keep as a pet.

Step 3

To create the roof, draw a “x” on the box. And cut along the lines.

Step 4

Cut the cardboard box and fold half.

Step 5

Assist your child to cut a hole on one side of the cardboard box.

Step 6

Wrap the cardboard box based on colours that your child select. Or you can choose to paint it.

Step 7

Tear the coloured paper into pieces and decorate the roof.

Step 8

Use the double-sided tape to secure the roof.

Step 9

Create food tray with the paper cup. Child to draw on coloured paper and cut out the food that your child wants to put into the food tray.

Step 10

Place the soft-toy animal into the box together with its food tray. Role play with your child on how he/she can take care of his/her “pet”.
