Did you know that Dr Seuss was born on 2nd March 1904? Today, 2nd March is also known as Dr Seuss Day!

 

The famous author wrote and illustrated several classics like Oh, the Places You'll Go! and The Cat in the Hat.

Let's create a fun Dr Seuss hat to celebrate his work!

What you need:

  • A3-sized paper

  • Red craft tape

  • Scotch tape

  • Paper plate

  • Scissors

Cut a circle in the middle of the paper plate. This will be the base of the hat.

1.

Paste stripes on the A3-sized paper with red craft tape. You can also use red electrical tape.

2.

Roll up the paper into a cylinder and tape it up securely. Take care not to flatten it too much.

3.

Paste the cylinder onto the hat base.

Tip: Cut flaps at one end of the cylinder and tape down the flaps.

4.

All done!
