With everyday items found around the house, you can make your own play dough that is much softer than the ones made with flour
and water.

Step 1

Gather the materials.

Step 2

Involve the child in the process of making the play dough. Mix 1 cup of flour and 1⁄2 cup of hair conditioner together using the ice cream stick

Step 3

Stir the mixture until you get a soft but non-sticky dough. The consistency may vary depending on the type of flour and hair conditioner.

Step 4

Add in the food colouring. Knead until the colour is spread out.

Step 5

Encourage your child to express themselves freely with the play dough.
