What You Will Need

  • Sawdust Clay

  • Craft Cutting Board

  • Dinosaur Toys

  • Paint Brush

  • Paint (Poster Colour)

  • Palette

Fossils bear the record of the Earth's natural history. Stoke your child's interest in our planet's heritage and have some fun with handicraft at the same time.

Step 1

Gather the materials.

Cut a slice of sawdust clay and knead it.

step 3

Roll the clay into a ball and flatten it.

step 4

Use a dinosaur toy to create an impression in the clay.

step 5

Repeat Steps 2 to 4 to create more fossil impressions.

step 6

Paint the fossils. Decorate them as you like.

step 7

Use the dinosaur fossils as decoration or paper weight!
