What You Will Need
Discardable IKEA tape measure (white coloured measuring paper readily available free in their stores)
Laminating pouch & machine (optional)
Double sided tape
Give kids the chance to have fun while discovering their height in a creative manner.
Gather the materials.
Using the discardable IKEA measuring tape, ask the children to decorate it using various colouring materials.
Paste the tape on the wall by using double sided tape.
Ask the children to take their height measurements. Jot down the results labeled with the unit of measurement used (inches or centimetres). Discuss in a group their findings: the importance of sustainability efforts (recycling, reuse, reduce), units of measurements used and results of the height taken by each pair (each pair to present the results in the group).
